Sefton Council has set up a café drop-in event on Energy Efficiency for landlords on Friday November 29.
Taking place at Southport Market between 12 noon and 3pm, the free event is part of the Retrofit for Lets programme.
It will be hosted by sustainability charity Pure Leapfrog, who are leading the government-funded project to help private landlords.
Free energy advice will be available to any local landlords who come along to the café drop-in. A limited number of grant-funded retrofit assessments to help identify potential energy efficiency upgrades will be available.
Sefton is one of 40 councils picked to take part in the Government’s Healthy Homes Project, an initiative to test different approaches to improving damp and mould enforcement in private rented homes.
Sefton Council is also providing free online training for Landlords on Damp, Mould & condensation on Monday December 9 between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.
Hosted by the National Residential Landlords Association, the session aims to help landlords understand the law around dampness and condensation, identify their causes, and remove them and prevent reoccurrence.
