Energy efficiency standards webinar for NRLA member landlords

Energy efficiency standards webinar for NRLA member landlords

The National Residential Landlords Association is hosting a special member-only webinar on Thursday this week covering all the important aspects of the government’s Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards proposals.

The government is seeking to introduce a minimum EPC rating C on all rental properties by 2030, and a cost cap of £15,000 per property,m.

Given the timescale the government set out, the NRLA believes 5,000 homes a day will need to be retrofitted. There is already a shortfall of 166,000 tradespeople to aid the transformation process.

There will also be plenty of advice on how to manage the proposed changes and the NRLA’s  work.

Association chief executive Ben Beadle has already confirmed the NRLA will ask the government to implement a more realistic timeframe to meet the proposed new standard, as well as a financial package to support landlords to make the required upgrades.

Anna Moore, chief executive of retrofitting specialists Domna, will be the NRLA’s guest speaker for the webinar.

This exclusive event is for NRLA members only and you can submit a question to the panel in advance at campaigns@nrla.org.uk
