Lloyds Banking Group has agreed a new £65m retrofit finance package with Amplius housing association.

It brings together a £30m green retrofit loan partially guaranteed by the National Wealth Fund (NWF) alongside a £35m increase to Amplius’ existing revolving credit facility.

In the past year Lloyds Banking Group has completed retrofit finance packages for a string of other social housing suppliers – Wheatley, Sanctuary, Orbit, VIVID, SNG and Peabody.

The green retrofit loan will help Amplius accelerate energy efficiency upgrades.

An association spokesperson says: “One of the key drivers behind our merger is to go further and do more for our customers and this level of investment will help us provide an even better repairs service and make our homes safer and more energy efficient.”

Jess Tomlinson, Global Head of Real Estate & Housingat Lloyds Banking Group, adds: “This latest loan … strengthens their ability to invest at pace in energy‑efficiency upgrades and essential works.”
